Events play a major role in supporting Cure Blindness Australia's activities, both from a fundraising and an awareness raising perspective.
Each year Cure Blindness Australia holds a series of fundraising and community awareness events, as well as social gatherings for members and associates. By getting involved you not only help us to raise vital funds for research, you assist us to facilitate support for individuals affected by inherited retinal disease.
Blindness Australia events are coordinated by a voluntary events committee who donate countless hours to ensure the events are a huge success. We are always looking for individuals with a variety of skills to assist our fundraising and event team. If you would like to volunteer with Cure Blindness Australia, please fill in the Contact Form and we will be in touch to discuss the opportunities.
With COVID 19 we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Dining in the Dark events until we can ensure the safety of all guests. We will update you on future events when they are confirmed.

Dining in the Dark is Cure Blindness Australia's premier event. This unique annual event where guests are blindfolded during their meal to gain a taste of what it may be like to live with low vision or blindness. This unforgettable experience is a great way to raise awareness and funds for Cure Blindness Australia.

This year Cure Blindness Australia entered the Dragon Boat Competition at the 2019 Paddlefest at Lake Macquarie. A group of volunteers came together to form a crew to participate in this community event. It was a very successful day full of fun, and raising awareness about our charity. We thank Toronto Rotary for their support for this event.
